Lyrics

Sing Along Now!

(This song is dedicated to my mother, Violet Adelle Burnham
and to my wonderful woman friend, Barbara Mueller)

This is a story about a little bug
Not a spider or an ant or a slippery slug
She flies all day and she works all night
But she doesn't sting and she doesn't bite

CHORUS:

She's the Hug Bug…hmmm…the Hug Bug
Hmmm.... the Hug Bug ..."H U G"...the Hug Bug

Sometimes when she's out flyin' around
She sees a lot of people down on the ground
So just to make sure they all get a hug
She calls out her swarm of Hug Bugs

(CHORUS)

They love to hum and they love to fly
They love to hug but don't question why
They'll hug you when you're happy
And they'll hug you when you're sad
They'll even forgive you when you've been bad

(CHORUS)

Hugging is a simple gift that you can always give
To show you care…that you'll be there
Give us reason to live
So put your arm around a friend
Whether they be big or small
Then close your eyes don't be surprised
To find you are a Hug Bug

They're the nicest friends you could ever know
And you can take them with you wherever you go
Before you know it the whole world will be
A happy hummin' Hug Bug family

(CHORUS)

Hug Bug
